ABOUT

Utilizing a range of mediums, specializing in oil painting, my goal as an artist is to revitalize techniques, ideologies and aesthetics that have passed through the western canon of Fine Arts. 

 

Specifically focusing on realism during the Renaissance and Post-Modernist movements, I currently find myself absorbed by the immersive and captivating techniques of European and Spanish painters in the early 16th century.

Inspired by Gerhard Richter's earlier career, my work on candles and the natural light from a flame has allowed me to explore techniques made popular in the renaissance. More specifically, the use case of chiaroscuro and its ability to apply a very rich and ambitious visual stage.
